A Simple Way to Erase Years from your Face without Surgery

Stress and a modern lifestyle without adequate nutrition can prematurely age one's appearance. However, who has time for all the healthy stuff? You do! Without buying anything or committing hours per week, you can erase years from your face. The stresses of everyday life can prematurely age your appearance. Do the following paragraphs describe your lifestyle? You frown frequently. You do not get enough sleep. Sometimes you forget sunscreen before going out in the sun. You do not drink enough water, and you grimace every time you think of going to work. You try to stand up straight and pull in your gut when people are watching, holding your breath a little and using only the top portion of your lungs. Otherwise, your abs would sag and give away the sad truth that you have not worked out in the last few weeks. Trying to make up for lost sleep, you drink too much coffee and neglect the healthy food you know you need, substituting with salty, sweet, and gooey edible products containing who-knows-what chemicals and preservatives. All of these things can quickly add wrinkles and furrows, as well as a sallow appearance, to your complexion. Without Botox or a facelift, a particularly stressful period in your life can quickly make you look ten or twenty years older than you really are. One simple technique can help to stall and even reverse some of the effects of stress and aging: breathing. Most of us do not use the full capacity of our lungs. Life giving oxygen must circulate to all parts of our bodies. Without sufficient oxygen, our skin begins to look pallid, and we do not perform at peak efficiency. Several times a day, take a few seconds to let your abs relax, and take a few deep breaths. If you can, raise your arms overhead with each inhalation to help the lungs expand fully, and breathe with the assistance of your abdominals. It is important to expel all the air from your lungs between breaths. A pool of stale carbon dioxide in the bottom of each lung can make you feel breathless no matter how deep you breathe. A light cough at the end of each exhalation can help you to empty your lungs completely. Do enough deep breathing to make you feel invigorated - not dizzy - and think about something pleasant. Mulling over daily problems is counterproductive. This mini-break should clear your mind of all clutter and flush out every cell in your body. The mental retreat is just as important as the physical revitalization. Begin and end the day with a few inhalations in bed, while increasing the blood flow to your head by doing some leg raises at the same time. It is important to keep one leg bent at the knee while you raise the opposite leg. The bent knee helps to protect your lower back. If you check your e-mail every ten minutes, do some deep breathing instead of drumming your fingers on the desk. If you drive to work, consider doing some deep breathing at every stop rather than cursing the slow traffic. Conclude each coffee break or telephone call by grabbing a few extra mouthfuls of air. Your body will thank you for the extra oxygen, and the new routine will actually help you to reduce the side effects of stress. This will result in a younger looking face and a cheerier attitude.
